The WHS C.R.E.W. (Creative, Responsible, Educated, Workers) is a student run business. This business creates, markets, and sells hand crafted products such as Lanyards, Jewelry, Beaded Stainless Steel service pieces, Soap, Greeting Cards, and more. The WHS C.R.E.W is part of the Wayzata High School Work Program. While in this class students learn many business skills needed to be successful when entering the working force. Students receive a management position in the business ( see organizational chart ) where students will gain experience in areas such as sales, marketing, advertising, display, special orders, inventory, sales and accounting as needed to support the C.R.E.W. Soft skills and social communication skills are embedded in the daily work environment. All students participate in the product production of items sold by The C.R.E.W. The WHS C.R.E.W. participates with Service Learning Projects. Prerequisite: Students should complete the Work Seminar Class or obtain prior approval from a work based learning coordinator to register for this class.
