Reserve Teaching

Thank you for your interest in being a substitute teacher for Wayzata Public School. We currently serve approximately 10,000 students in 11 sites. We employ approximately 50 reserve teachers every day. A current Minnesota teaching certificate is required. The district no longer accepts a short-call substitute license. The starting rate of pay is $120 per day.

Wayzata Public Schools uses Aesop, an automated substitute teacher placement and absence management system. It allows our substitute teachers access to assignment openings and selection of positions for which they are certified. Teachers are able to identify substitute teachers to be placed on preferred lists for their buildings.
