The seven-member school board of Wayzata Public Schools makes policy and oversees the district’s budget, curriculum, personnel and physical facilities. Members are elected at large for four-year terms. The superintendent serves as an ex-officio member of the board and is responsible for implementation of board policies and directives.

 

All board meetings are open to the public, except for those specifically permitted by law to be closed for discussion of identified issues such as negotiation strategy or litigation. Meeting notices and agendas are posted in all district buildings and on the district’s website prior to the meetings.
