There is a specific open-enrollment program available to students who meet two criteria, if there is space available at the grade level and school you are requesting:
- The student and parent/guardian must live in North Minneapolis and prove residency in the address range necessary for this program
- The student must qualify for free/reduced price lunch
If both criteria are met, the student is eligible to apply for open enrollment through the TCIY program. This open enrollment program provides free transportation to and from Wayzata Public Schools. There is no fee charged for this program.

For the 2011-12 school year, placements for open enrollment are complete.
