    Kristen Busch, an eighth grade student at WMS, won the Minnesota State American History Essay Contest for her essay, “Forgotten Patriots who Supported the American Struggle for Independence.”

  • Graft’s Wooden Spoon

    Fifth grade students at Oakwood Elementary School participated in Graft’s Wooden Spoon restaurant project in February and raised more then $2,200 in profits to benefit Interfaith Outreach and Community Partners food shelf.

    Three students from Wayzata High School won National Scholastic Art Awards for their artwork.

  • Trojets Teams go to State

    The Trojets finished 2nd in Jazz, performing "Phantom", and 1st place in Kick, performing "Boogie Fever". Both Trojets Jazz and Kick teams will compete in the state tournament Friday, February 15 and Saturday, February 16.

  • State of Wayzata Schools

    The Parenting Forum is an annual program featuring a variety of workshop offerings on all aspects of parenting, plus a variety of exhibitors in the Marketplace. The year, the focus was on Wayzata Public Schools. The event featured a keynote panel discussion in the auditorium presented by Superintendent Chace Anderson and district administrators.     Rachel Wyffles, an eighth grade student at Central Middle School, earned second place in the annual city of Plymouth Human Rights Award Contest. Wyffels was honored at the February 12 Plymouth City Council Meeting.
