Middle School Boundaries

Limited Changes to Middle School Attendance Areas to be Recommended to Board January 14
At its December 10 meeting, the Wayzata School Board approved elementary attendance boundary changes for the 2013-2014 school year.  The next step has been to study the impact to middle school attendance areas.  On January 14, administration will recommend the following limited changes in middle school attendance areas to be phased in over the next three years for families in neighborhoods 30 and 33 (click here to see map of neighborhoods identified in the elementary attendance area modifications):
2013-2014 School Year
Grades 6-8 in neighborhoods 30 or 33 can choose either East or Central Middle School with district transportation provided
 
2014-2015 School Year
Grades 7-8 in neighborhoods 30 or 33 can choose either East or Central Middle School with district transportation provided
Grade 6 will attend Central Middle School with transportation provided
 
2015-2016 School Year
Grade 8 in neighborhoods 30 or 33 can choose either East or Central Middle School with district transportation provided
Grades 6-7 will attend Central Middle School with transportation provided
 
2016-2017 School Year
Grades 6-8 in neighborhood 30 or 33 will attend Central Middle School with transportation provided
During the three years of transition, transportation will be provided to whichever middle school that a family chooses.
