The Lifetime of Learning Task Force has planned an event on Thursday, September 18 at 7 p.m. at Armstrong High School that will feature iconic Twin Cities broadcast journalist Don Shelby.
Shelby, a respected anchor, author, artist and actor, will cover his own journey into retirement and talk about inventing a creative retirement. Learn how he “jumped into the mouth of the wolf,” and borrow some of his ideas for your innovative next chapter.
The event is free and reservations will not be taken. Seating is limited and the doors open at 6:30 p.m. For more information, call 763-504-6980. The Lifetime of Learning Task Force is a west metro group of community organizations including Plymouth/Wayzata libraries, cities of Plymouth and Wayzata, Interfaith Outreach and Community Partners, YMCA, and the Wayzata and Robbinsdale school districts. The Wayzata Community Education Department is the fiscal agent for the group that is committed to advancing healthy aging through lifelong learning in adults age 55 and older.
