At least once a week, broadcast students leave the studio for a unique experience in the field. The experience is called Project SCORE!, a class that has been developed from the need for video and graphic content to play on the scoreboard video display at Trojan Stadium. The display, purchased by the Wayzata Athletics Parent Boosters last year, allows for yet another venue and opportunity for students to learn sports broadcasting, production and reporting from the sidelines and press box. The experience is completely immersive and mostly student-run. Students create the video and most of the graphic content the fans see on the 'Jumbo Tron'.
While the Project SCORE! class requires prerequisite education in producing for broadcast, the evening events do not. We accept volunteers who will be trained in what the technology has to offer. If you know of a student who would like to join us for this unique production experience, please contact Jean Zimmerman at email@example.com.
