Emily Haugh, math teacher at Wayzata High School, was one of two to be named the April Employee of the Month. According to her colleagues, "We have several teachers who have contributed to the success of the new Academic Resource Center (ARC), but the amount of time and dedication Emily puts into the ARC is really what made her stand out. She works tirelessly to provide students the tools they need regardless of the class or subject, creating a warm and friendly learning environment. She approaches her work with an incredible amount of energy and always portrays a 'can do' attitude. We are very lucky to have her at Wayzata High School."
Wayzata High School also named English teacher Dawn Johnson as the April Employee of the Month. Dawn's colleagues commented, "She is one of the most caring, conscientious teachers I know. She puts students first and does whatever she can to help them, including volunteering after school with the tutoring program. If you want to know how students feel about her, just look at all of the notes and cards on her desk. They will tell you everything you need to know. She treats staff the same way-- always willing to help by lending an ear and sharing a kind word."
