Students begin the registration process for 2010-11 today during advisory. Please review the materials and the procedures with your student. Students are encouraged to carefully select courses for the entire year because choices made at this time determine our staffing and will be used to build the master schedule next year.

In an effort to consolidate our WHS Curriculum Night and PTSO Schedule Night, we have discovered some conflicting information.  Please accept our sincere apologies and refer to the information provided in this message as your guide.

On Thursday, February 11, 2010, Wayzata High School will be hosting two important events:

• Curriculum Night will begin at 6:30 PM and will run until 7:30 PM.

• PTSO Student Schedule Night will run from 7:30-8:45 PM.

First is Brighton Beach Memoirs, which takes place on Feb. 24-26 at 7:30 p.m. with 2 performances on Feb. 27th at 2:00 and 7:30.
An autobiographical look at Neil Simon's life growing up in Brooklyn,  it is considered to be one of his finest plays.
 
Second is Cat on a Hot Tin Roof by Tennessee Williams, one of our most celebrated American playwrights. This takes place on
March 3-5th at 7:30 with 2 performances on March 6th at 2:00 and 7:30.

Ticket prices are :
$12.00 for adults
$10.00 for senior citizens 62 and above
$8.00 for students AT DOOR
$5.00 for students pre-order

All AP registration will take place on-line February 1st through March 19th, 2010.

Students can mail the form, or drop it off (with payment) in the Senior Office.

Pick-up dates will be regularly scheduled over the next several months-- in the WHS cafeteria during lunch hours (10:30 - 12:30)-- as orders are processed.  Next pick-up date(s): February 5 and March 12

Attention all students of Spanish:
Students interested in taking the National Spanish Exam, administered by the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese administered at  Wayzata High School on Monday, March 1st, 2010  should contact Monica Vlach in Room A418. 

Registration begins immediately and ends January 22nd.  The cost of the test this year is $5.00. Students should pay with cash or check payable to WHS.

This test is given yearly and results are used to recognize outstanding students of Spanish.

The Wayzata High School Bands will be hosting the 75th Anniversary Celebration Concert on June 1, 2010 on the stage of the WHS Auditorium.   In addition to honoring the great tradition of the WHS bands, we are honoring Chip Williams on the occasion of his retirement.
