• 8th Grade Orientation Information

On behalf of all of the teachers, students and staff at Wayzata High School, I welcome you to our school community. We're here for you! Together, we will achieve a common goal – to equip our students with the skills and confidence they need to be happy, healthy and successful, both while here at WHS and long after they graduate.
We know parent and community partnerships are the key to any successful high school and the reason why Wayzata has a long-standing tradition of excellence. Remember, this is your high school, so don't be shy about asking questions, sharing ideas and becoming engaged in our school community.
Below are important topics that were covered in our presentation:
    • Student Support Teams: Social Workers, Guidance Counselors, Chemical Health
    • Activities & Athletics
    • Registration and scheduling
    • Daily life at WHS
    • Grading system (traditional)
    • Curriculum Night
As a friendly reminder, all current 8th grade students need to fill out their registration worksheet and enter their selections in Skyward by Monday, February 13.
Additional copies of the Registration Guide / course catalog will be available to parents at Curriculum Night. These may also be picked up in the Wayzata High School office.
Back-to-Business dates are scheduled for August 8, 10, 14, and 15. On these dates students will have the opportunity to take their Lifetouch portrait, pick-up their school schedule and/or talk with a counselor about their schedule, deposit money for Culinary, purchase a Yearbook and/or Parking Permits, and explore clubs/activities.
