Welcome to the Wayzata Public Schools’ Human Resource Services Department. We believe that academic success for every student is dependent on every member within the District.
As we work to hire and retain a qualified staff, the goal of the Human Resource Services Department is to provide excellent client service and build a team of professionals who are passionate about the success of each student. Employee Benefits

We are proud to offer competitive benefits for our eligible staff. Employer provided insurance benefits are an important component of the total compensation package.
The employee’s eligibility and the district’s contribution towards insurance benefits are determined by each collective bargaining unit’s agreement with the district. There is no eligibility waiting period to participate in district insurance plans.

Health Insurance

Health insurance is offered to eligible staff. Enrollees have the choice of two insurance plans which would provide medical insurance benefits for themselves and for their dependents if they choose. Download the health plan summaries below:

Dental Insurance

Dental insurance is offered to eligible staff. Enrollees have the option to elect coverage for themselves and for their dependents if they choose. Download the dental insurance plan summary below:

Life Insurance

Basic Term Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D)

Basic term life insurance and AD&D is offered to eligible staff. The benefit amount is determined by each collective bargaining unit’s agreement.

Supplemental Term Life and Supplemental Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D)

Supplemental term life insurance and AD&D is offered to eligible staff. This coverage would be provided at the employee’s expense on any coverage elected for the employee, spouse, and children.

Long Term Disability Insurance

Long term disability insurance is offered to eligible staff and provides a 66 2/3 percent income continuation after a sixty calendar day qualification period of continuous disability.

License Renewal Since license renewal also applies to teachers not currently teaching who wish to keep their licenses up to date, the license renewal information is on the Wayzata Public Schools Web site. Visit the district's continuing education and relicensure page.
