AP Students Draw for "The Memory Project"
Advanced Placement Drawing students at Wayzata High School took part in a service learning opportunity for The Memory Project.
After submitting their AP Drawing portfolios, students created a portrait for The Memory Project. Each student received an image of a child or teen who has been orphaned, neglected, or disadvantaged, and created a portrait of them to be sent to that child.
The group of children whom the portraits are for live in Ghana and will be mailed in July.
The Memory Project provides art students with the chance to create portraits for children around the world who live in orphanages because of abuse, neglect, or because of poverty. Learn more about The Memory Project at memoryproject.org.
